End Of APARTHEID ERA In SOUTH AFRICA— Emergence Of XENOPHOBIC ATTACK On MIGRANTS

One who has visited District Six Museum in Cape Town, would think absolutely, that  Apartheid was the greatest inhumanity against humans in the history of South Africa. No doubt, constituted of commemorative decorates which engrosses the mind on sober reflections of the challenges of the Black people during a period they were violently dispersed from their homes, and workplaces. Without according them the custody of their belongings, and work accessories, which now serves commemoration purposes in District Six Museum.

Reflecting upon the commemorative photos and write-up’s of the Apartheid victims, especially the manner in which they expressed their displeasure and frustration upon the ill-treatment meted on them, one do not need to search the mind twice, before crediting them as ‘peace loving people’.

But, considering the ugly menace of XENOPHOBIC ATTACK on Foreigners, currently going on in Durban. Where people are losing their lives and loved ones, which government claimed to be criminality amongst the locals against the foreigners.

Even in cases where people are been stoned to death on the streets, parks and been shot in their shops without been robbed?

So sad that this attack is being launched on the migrants from the countries that contributed immensely to seen to the exit of Apartheid and establishment of new order in South Africa, not only do some of these victims contributed financially during the fight against Apartheid in the 90s, their contribution was mandatory in their respective countries. In the spirit of “Ubuntu” (African Unity).

Very ironic that during the Apartheid Era, when the Black South Africans were thrown into turmoil, the people been victimized today in XENOPHOBIC Attack was the same people they seek out their alliance, and had a massive support which not doubtfully played a vital role in fighting Apartheid menaces. But, today those people are hunted by them. What a human ingratitude!

Some of this migrants comes from countries ruined by war and economic crisis, seeking refuge in South Africa where they believe is a Rainbow Nation, only to start living in fear of losing lives and loved ones to severe attack that government has proven to be adamant towards;

Hence, perpetrators of these ungodly acts believe nothing can be done to quell it, as government is not putting up necessary measures to calm down the situation, especially where presence of cops is always unnoticed at the occurrence of the attacks.

If nothing urgent is done to put a stop to it, Immigrants may be left with no other option but to put up self defense as more people are losing their lives, according to the viral disheartening videos on social media, which only a numb person would view twice.

A country recovering from past ugly menace as Apartheid, should not linger in averting  any incident likely to escalate to crisis, especially that which is inhumanity against humans as Xenophobia.
