Elements Of Principle Of Life – Nurturing Your Potential

Haven understood what principle of life means, and the first element of it as ‘discovering your potential’. We’ll be looking at the other four elements. But first, I want you to understand what ‘elements of principle of life’, means.

Element’s’ of anything or a body is what that thing or the body is consist of, or the parts that makes the body up. i.e., the fundamental power is which something is based, thus, elements of principle of life is the power or rules that governs the principle(s) of life.

And as I stated earlier about the five elements which are;

* Discovering your potential
* Nurturing/sharpening your potential
* Launching your potential
* Living your dream
* Giving back to the society

Let’s presume you have discovered your potential, now you know what is part of you that you cannot break free from, it’s inside of you and you can’t avoid it no matter how much you try. Be it positive or negative but each time you say you wouldn’t do it again, you still find yourself doing it, like caring for people, fixing things, some can even go out of their way to help people that won’t show appreciation yet they wouldn’t stop helping others.

Have you ever found yourself always listening to people’s problems and wish you have all it takes to solve them all?

Do you like to mediate in others conflicts because of your inability to condone injustice and inequality, even at the destitute of your happiness or money? You wouldn’t mind giving your own money to make sure peace reigns.

Do you like fixing things, appliances, furnitures, accessories and so on even if you have to dismantle them and start all over to know how it works?

All these are inborn abilities otherwise known as natural potentials that one can’t just shy away from, it’s there no matter how you try to avoid it.

Now you know what is naturally inside you, and in some cases it can be a bad behaviour that you want to break free from, have you thought of channeling that bad behaviour to a positive direction?

Do you talk too much like me? Anything that you find yourself doing naturally, and you can’t fake it because it’s there, it’s your potential. Don’t avoid it, accept it and work on it.

Nurturing/Sharpening your potential:

Nurturing, can be said as tender care, training or even education. When you nurture things, it means you care for it and want the best out of it. Like I illustrated with the story of the man that asked his sons to cut a tree, the third one sharpened his cutlass thereby making the cutting quite easier and timely.

Therefore, nurturing or sharpening is the equipping or training of something for the best use of it. When you nurture your potential, it serves you a lifetime of purpose and you’ll never stop at anything because you have all it takes to arrive at everything.

So how do you nurture your potential? Depends on the potential within, there are some potentials one doesn’t need to obtain master’s degree in order to launch them. Most times we spend all our money and time at school and yet come out to stay idle or work for people less competent than ourselves.

So what one needs are people in the field where your potential aligns depends on the potency of the potential, else degrees would really help. But for technical abilities without  involvement of science, I’d encourage going to workshop or doing apprenticeship.

But for science background or highly professionalize like law, medicine, and other professional skills education is very crucial even to P.hd if possible.

But for craftspersonship. Workshop and apprenticeship makes it more easier to start early in nurturing one’s potential.

When it comes to entertainment potential like acting, dancing, and even singing, I wouldn’t encourage spending so much in school because this is what is inside you, except it’s not part of you but you want to develop it.

But if it’s part of you and you always happy doing it and want to earn a living with it, then what you need is opportunity and not education. When you are opportune enough to meet people in the field who can be relenting enough to carry you along, you’d be surprised at what is inside you that you are not aware of.

Cinematography is the only field I deem necessary for crucial academic experience in the entertainment industry, yet there are cinematographers that never saw the four corners of the university, yet they are doing extremely well in the field. It’s potential!

So it’s not every potential that needs academic experience for development and nurture, there are some potentials one can nurture without going to school. All you need is the right people around you.

Now, I want you to pause and think if you’ve discovered what you enjoy doing and it makes you happy, if ‘no’ then you’d end up living another person’s life which is the waste of the person you were created to be. Except you want to be employed till you retire, but if you aspire to be an entrepreneur then you need to discover your potential.

Even caring for animals is potential and people earn a perfect living from it. Yes, people have passion to see to the welfare of animals and crops. They are into agricultural sectors. The farmer you undermine when in his or her farm site, might have achieved more then you can ever do in ample of years.

So stop waiting and start equipping and nurturing your potential, that thing you have passion for, meet people that will help you bring it out.

Next we’ll be looking at ‘Launching your potential’. But before this third level, I personally want you to have discovered your potential. We all have what we were created for.
