Some people often presume ‘Roman Catholic Church’,  to be an occult society, because of their said worship to the ‘statue’ of ‘Virgin Mary’. I’m not a Roman Catholic, but anything Roman Catholic appeases me, especially the Holy Mass in Latina with the combination of the Apostle’s Creed and Our Lord’s prayer(Two most powerful Heavenly Prayers). These are the most powerful prayers that helps to renew our everyday faith in Christ and brings us to our salvation and even enrich us in life, depends on the level of our belief in them and how we use them for our daily prayers and meditations.

At this point, the kneeling before the statue of Holy Mary is crucial to Roman Catholics; every denomination meditates with the Heavenly powerful prayers in their own way.

Depends on the image one has in mind, or pictures in the spiritual realm while kneeling before the Holy Mary and seeks for intercession, this is where the Bible warns against idolatry and this is also where the world gets confused about Roman Catholic.

The scripture records that, Jesus came into the world but was not of the world which means he’s a Spiritual being that belongs to the Holy Trinity that already existed before the creation of the world, but Jesus came to make them known through the womb of a ‘Virgin’ named ‘Mary’.

At this point Jesus have a connection with the world through this Virgin that bore him into the world. And on several occasions in the world, his Mother had interceded for people, and He (Jesus) listened to her.

In as much as He later sent down the Holy Spirit to those that believes and have encountered the Spirit, in times of trouble, distress and tribulations of life, the Spirit doesn’t just manifest, we need to invoke it through prayer because it’s only when the spirit manifest that you can lay down your supplications.

Most times we pray and pray and pray and yet nothing happens, this is not because of our sins or lack of faith, but because we don’t know how to operate in the spiritual realm,  and of course spiritual controls the physical.

So while kneeling before the Statue of Holy Mary praying the Rosary, is good to channel your faith to the Heavenly Throne, not with the image of the statue before you, because the statue is only to help connect you to the spiritual realm or Heavenly Kingdom precisely, with the real image of the Mother kneeling before Her son that sits next to his father interceding for the world.

So we have two sources of connecting to Jesus Christ,  through Holy Spirit or his mother but either way one needs to be in spirit to do this, and while in spirit or during prayer or meditation, if we don’t have a particular strong spiritual material or image before us, we are often distracted by the images that flash through the mind. That’s why one needs to focus on a spiritual image that exists physically or created within the mind in order to maintain concentration during prayer or meditation.

For one that is not a Roman Catholic, you can find yourself kneeling before the cross of Calvary within your mind, pleading for the wounded Christ to intercede for you and as you are doing this you are seeing the real Christ sitting in his throne of glory interceding for the world. So as you are kneeling before the cross of Calvary with or without the wounded Christ, do you consider it idolatry?

So during meditation or prayer, whatever it will take us to connect to the spiritual world and fight our spiritual battle is what is required of us as long as our faith is channeled to the Heavenly Kingdom and Christ is the source of our faith.

And we don’t consider the carved image before us as the source of our faith and salvation, but in the real picture of the image that truly exist in Heaven using the carved one before us as a means to connect to the real one.

Believe it or not, Roman Catholics have easier access to spiritual realms because of the materials they use in prayers and meditations that keep the mind focused, thus allowing the soul to remain in purity and free from worldly imaginations.

All the same, stick to your beliefs and don’t undermine or criticize another person’s beliefs, because what matter is the spirit in which the prayer was said, and the source of faith in which we cast our hope of believing on the prayer to be answered. And when Christ is the source of our ‘Faith’, what else matters?

  1. Roman Catholicism is full of pagan rites and starts already with a worship of three gods and loads of saints or idolised figures to which they attribute special gifts.

  2. Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening. I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this article together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and leaving comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!

  3. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for beginner blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
